Privacy & Your Data

What the village holds, who can see it, and how to take it with you.

What we keep

Only what you give us while using the village.

  • Your account: your name, your email address, and the preferences you set.
  • Your inner life: journal entries, reflections, saved prayers, the promises you draw and keep, and the milestones you mark.
  • Your journey: the circles you join, your study progress, and your notes.
  • Your voice: notes and prayer requests you offer to the village, and whether you chose to share each one anonymously.

Who can see it

Privacy is the design, not a setting you have to find.

  • Your reflections, prayers, saved promises, milestones and progress are visible only to you.
  • Circle notes are visible only to the people in that circle.
  • Notes you share anonymously are stored without any link to your account, so no one — not other members, not moderators, not administrators — can tell they came from you.
  • Community moderators see only what is offered to the community. Your journal entries, reflections, prayer journal, promises, stones and milestones are closed to them.
  • No one running the village can open your inner life — not moderators, not administrators. That boundary is permanent, not a setting.

What we never do

Your inner life is not a product.

  • We never sell your data, and we never share it with advertisers or other companies.
  • We do not run ads or trackers inside your journal, prayers or reflections.
  • Your reflections are never used to train anything.

The emails you receive

You choose them, and every one of them is off until you turn it on.

  • Daily encouragements, devotionals and reminders only arrive if you selected them in Settings, and each one has its own time of day.
  • Account emails you cannot opt out of are limited to the essentials: verifying your address, resetting your password, and messages about your access.
  • You can change or turn off any reminder in Settings at any time.

How long we keep it

Until you decide otherwise.

  • There is no silent retention and no archive you cannot see.
  • You can remove an individual entry, prayer or note whenever you like.
  • Closing your account erases your records rather than hiding them.

Anonymous notes, honestly

One consequence worth knowing before you post.

  • Because anonymous notes carry no link to you, they cannot be traced back — and equally, they cannot be removed when you close your account.
  • They stay with the village as an unattributed note. If that matters to you, share under your name, or write it somewhere private instead.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, or you want to know exactly what is held about you, ask us and we will answer plainly. You can also take your own copy at any time — it is all of it, in your hands, not a summary. Open Settings.
